Following the charming and picturesque coastal road from Agios Nikolaos (11 km) parallel to the Mediterranean Sea, passing inviting coves alternating with breathtaking views to small islands and delightful sandy beaches of the Mirabello Gulf you reach the village of Kalo Chorio and its coastal quarter “Istron”. Around the House a magical landscape is nestled, crisscrossed by ridges and covered mountains mostly with cedar trees, almost inviting for walks and hikes. A bizarre charm soft sandy beaches, framed by rocky coves provide the coast.
Villa Castello is located on 2,000 acres on which Olive, Orange, Tangerine and Banana trees around the House flourish. The saltwater swimming pool (7 m x 12 m) with children’s pool was generously laid on an area of about 500 square meters. The exterior is made of beautiful natural stones and a waterfall is also available.
Different large and small bays alternate, from golden sand or pebbles. The closest bay with a sandy beach “Agios Panteleimonas” is located approximately 450 m away. In roundabout 700 m is one of the most beautiful sand beaches “Voulisma” or “Golden Beach”. The beaches in the surrounding of the Villa Castello are awarded with the BLUE FLAG.
The diversity of views and the magic of the landscape always amaze. Each apartment has a safe, Wi-Fi, TV and air conditioning. Tables and chairs are available on the terraces or balconies, all covered with pergolas. The furniture of the house is made of solid wood and beautiful, white marble floors. There is a large marble table with benches in the garden. There is a parking place on the large estate.
In these, from the nature diverse region, you have the opportunity to do something different every day. There are good bus connections in all directions of the island from here. Shopping facilities and taverns with Greek specialties are available nearby.

Our apartment has the most beautiful views and is perfect for our needs.
We have been here for a week and have enjoyed the swimming pool and all the lovely artistic touches that have been so carefully added to make this place so wellcoming.
Villa Castello is a super neat and nice place we would definitely go back to. The apartment, we were in, had all you need, particularly when you travel with a baby and need to prepare bottles (i.e. fully equipped kitchen if you want to cook at home).
Everything was very clean, nicely furnished and the kitchen even has a Nespresso machine including capsules. The upper apartments have two balconies so you can enjoy morning and afternoon sun.
Fresh towells are provided, hairdryer is in the bathroom. Beaches are near by (walking 10 min, quick drive) and also a few little restaurants with decent Greek dishes. It is very well looked after and we can only recommend it!

Beautiful surroundings, excellent warm and welcoming family. Lovely bright, clean apartment. 2 mins from local shops – 5mins walk to local restaurants, 10 mins walk to a fantastic beach “Voulisma”.

Sehr gepflegte Anlage mit hevorragender Ausstattung: Insbesondere das Bad und die Küche waren nach deutschem Standard und Mobilar ausgerüstet. Das bisher beste W-Lan, das wir bis dato in einer Unterkunft hatten.
Ruhig gelegen und mit zwei Balkonen ausgestattet, hatte man stets ein ruhiges und schattiges Plätzchen zum Entspannen. Zudem war die Aussicht auf das Meer einfach nur göttlich!
Der Eigentümer hält die Anlage in einem außerordentlich guten Zustand. Sehr aufmerksam und fürsorglich aber auch gleichzeitig respektvoll. Istron ist ideal geeignet für Ausflüge in den Osten Kretas. z. B. Sitia und VaÃ, etc.

Che dire tutto perfetto, appartamento nuovo pulitissimo, con un bel terrazzino dove poter mangiare, immerso in un giardino di ulivi e alberi da frutta.
I proprietari sono stati fantastici (Alessandro), si sono messi subito a disposizione. .. che dire sembrava di essere in famiglia. Consiglio vivamente questa struttura.

Appartamento al piano terra comodo e spazioso, ben attrezzato e dotato di spazi all aperto dove poter mangiare. Contesto molto gradevole e accogliente.
Il proprietario gentile e discreto ci ha accolto con un gradevole omaggio: olio prodotto dagli ulivi del giardino e raki.
Apprezzata anche la vicinanza alla bella spiaggia di Voulisma (Golden beach).

A little more about the villa: it’s absolutely neat, clean and spacious, has all the equipment you may need. Two balconies add charm to romantic evenings and family dinners.
The nearest beach Voulisma is wonderful!
